Video - E-RTG Drive-in Solutions
Conductix-Wampfler has continued to optimize the Drive-In E-RTG solution, which has been used since 2009. The new, compact "Drive-In L" system works without pneumatic or hydraulic components. The system is currently the smallest and lightest on the market making it for use on all types of RTG, even those with limited space for additional components. The "Drive-In L", unlike a diesel motor or generator, can be installed on both sides of the RTG, which makes it the most flexible solution of its type currently on the market. The drive-in or drive-out time with the Drive-In L E-RTG system is less than 20 seconds.

Preassembled Festoon Systems

You can save time and money on the job site by having our experienced personnel preassemble your C-track Systems under ideal factory conditions. The system comes complete with trolleys mounted to an I-beam section. The cables are already clamped to the trolleys at the specified loop depth. Installation is easy - just transfer the system from the shipping I-beam to the equipment I-beam. Make your end connections, and the job is finished.

E-RTG Electrification
“We add the "E" to your RTG! E-RTG Drive-In Solution” demonstrates the electrification of Rubber-Tired Gantry Cranes (RTG). By converting a conventional RTG into a fully electric RTG ("E-RTG"), the operator can shut down the diesel generator and power the RTG with land-based electric power only. The two available methods are either with motorized reel systems or with conductor rail systems. The E-RTG Drive-In and Drive-In L solutions features a self engaging current collector trolley which is mounted on the RTG. When a RTG arrives at a container block, the collector trolley automatically engages the conductor rails enabling the RTG to switch over from diesel to electrical power immediately.
V-Rex Test Carrier
At the Conductix-Wampfler plant in Weil am Rhein, Germany, we have a world class test carrier for energy and data transmission systems. The carrier spans over 425 ft long (130 meters) and is modeled after an actual cargo port container crane system. This apparatus allows Conductix-Wampfler to perform detailed inspections of state-of-the-art energy supply systems at travel speeds of up to 984 ft per minute (300 meters/per minute). With this test carrier, we are able to test motorized cable reels, festoon systems, conductor rails, new control algorithms, or the "POWERTRANS" data transmission system , all in real conditions.
