For several decades, Conductix-Wampfler has assisted airlines in their quest to save fuel and improve the airport environment. We do this by managing the 400 Hz aviation cables used to power the aircraft's onboard systems after the engine is shut off. Our reels manage cables in the gate area, on the tarmac, and in the hangar. Our PLB400 model is packed with sophisticated electronic controls to prevent the bridge from moving away from the aircraft with the power still plugged in, and control winding and unwinding.
Our model 5459-PR switch-controlled motorized reels are used at American Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Sikorsky Helicopter, and others. We understand just how critical our reeling equipment is to the quick gate turnaround time that airlines demand of their passenger loading and unloading operations.
Conductix-Wampfler has sold a number of push button pendants and spring driven reels for use throughout the aviation environment.
We have been involved in military avation as well. Our motorized hose reels handle hydraulic fluid used by the stealth F-22 fighter jet.
