Throughout the Americas and around the world, you will find Conductix-Wampfler equipment used in bulk handling and mining operations. Our motorized reels power large stacker/reclaimers that handle ore from mines. Our heavy duty festoon systems power moving ship and barge loaders/unloaders, conveyors, and trippers. We are particularly active in the mines of Latin America, in Chile and Peru in particular, and in Australia. We serve the largest mining companies in the world such as BHP Billiton, Vale S.A., and Rio Tinto.
We are the exclusive suppliers of large, complex slip rings used in electric mining shovels made by P&H Mining and Bucyrus International. These rings have a combination of high current rings, as well as signal-level rings, and an integrated grease swivel.
See-through doors are included so that the condition of the ring is visible at all times.
The enclosure is highly structural to withstand stress as the machine works.
Our Italian Center of Excellence (CoE) in Milan specializes in highly evolved reels used in tunneling operations. All Conductix-Wampfler CoEs build very large level wind-motorized reels for exceptionally long machine travel distances.
Our newest product for the mining industry is a high-engineered level wind "trailing cable" reel. These are used on a variety of mining machines such as drill rigs, shotcrete machines, roof bolters, etc.
