Conductix-Wampfler Wins Conductor Bar Order for Chernobyl Cranes
In January of 2012, Conductix-Wampfler USA was awarded by PaR Nuclear with an order to supply special copper Hevi-Bar II Conductor Bar for the robotic crane system inside the New Safe Containment being built over Reactor # 4 at the Chernobyl plant in the Ukraine. The bar met the stringent environmental conditions and specifications, including the projected 100 year life of the structure. PaR Nuclear (owned by Westinghouse Electric) is headquartered in Shoreview, MN and manufactures fuel handling equipment, outage-critical cranes, and provides equipment services for commercial nuclear power plants worldwide.
Conductix-Wampfler Wins Supplier Award

Conductix-Wampfler Installs First E-RTG Conductor Bar System in South America
The Conductix-Wampfler Latin America Port Team recently completed the first conductor bar system in South America designed to power Electric Rubber-Tyred Gantries (E-RTGs). The system was installed at the port of Guayaquil, Ecuador, a container and multi-purpose terminal handling 65% of all the container traffic in Ecuador.
