CONDUCTIX-WAMPFLER Magnetic Coupler Reels are ideal for handling cables and hoses that power heavy industrial automated machinery.

Magnetic Coupler Reels are specifically designed for machines that:

  • Operate at faster speeds
  • Work long, continuous, duty cycles
  • Are powered by larger and longer cables
  • Operate at tall lift heights

The efficient and reliable Magnetic Coupler system will meet the most demanding requirements - such as port container cranes, gantry cranes, bulk material handling systems, log handling cranes, and many other applications

MAG COUPLERS:

Apply constant torque to the spool - torque is adjustable

Cause no wear on the permanent magnets; no physical contact

Do not lose their magnetism

Require low starting inertia

Are spark-free (explosion proof)

Require very little maintenance

Do not require a brake

Control back-spin with a back- stop bearing and magnetism

 

Coupler Reels are custom-configured using an advanced software program, and are manufactured from a wide array of in-stock modular components:

  • Gear boxes are available to accommodate from 1-7 couplers
  • Spools can be monospiral, bulk-wrap, or level wind to suit the application
  • Power is provided by standard electric motors that run continuously
  • Slip Ring Assemblies are available to accommodate power and control cables
  • Many optional accessories are offered - junction boxes, limit switches, stainless steel spools and housings, and so forth
