Batteries
Conductix Wampfler battery solutions are modular and scalable and are easy to integrate into various industrial applications from 48 to 800VDC.Conductix-Wampfler battery solutions include a wide range of rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries from small size applications for Mobile Robots in Industrial Automation up to large size applications, such as cranes for Container Handling.
Lithium-Ion Battery technology is used to get the best combination of high performance, low cost of ownership, and a good lifespan.
Besides battery modules, battery systems from Conductix Wampfler also include the BMS (Battery Management System – which monitors all data and controls all safety functions), additional measuring and protection circuits as sensors, fuses and breakers, and cooling and heating systems – including liquid cooling units for the biggest systems. The modular design allows a flexible connection of several modules in series and/or parallel, to achieve different voltage and capacity levels. Additionally, Conductix-Wampfler is offering power converters and PLC systems for an easy integration of the complete battery system into the overall machine. Optionally, also cloud services for remote diagnostic services are available.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
What kind of battery chemistry do you use in your batteries?
The used battery chemistry depends on the application and use case. Most used chemistry in Conductix-Wampfler batteries is NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) but LFP systems are also possible.
Is your battery system safe?
Conductix-Wampfler battery systems consist of a multi-level safety concept. The key safety component is the Battery Management System (BMS) which is an integral part of the overall battery system and ensures that the battery always stays in the defined safe operation conditions. All battery systems are designed according to IEC 62619 (Safety requirements for secondary lithium cells and batteries, for use in industrial applications) and IEC 60730-1:2013 (Functional safety of automatic electrical controls and safety related system). All Conductix-Wampfler battery modules have an UN38.3 certification for safe transportation as well.
What is the charging time for a battery system?
Conductix-Wampfler battery systems are capable of fast charging, but charging currents and times should be in tune with the expected battery lifetime. Conductix-Wampfler can support you with a detailed analysis on the ideal charging concept, charging times and currents, and the expected battery lifetime.
