BatteryPack Hybrid
Battery Packs

Battery Pack Hybrid is a combined power supply system for an industrial machine, consisting of a battery for energy buffering and a diesel genset for battery-recharging.
Battery Pack Hybrid can supply up to 148 kWh of energy and up to 425 kW of power.
Typical applications for Battery Pack Hybrid are RTG-cranes which are not connected to the public power grid.
Using several battery modules, the system can be easily scaled in size. Via an auxiliary DC/DC converter, Battery Pack Hybrid delivers a stabilized DC voltage (up to 780 V DC) to the common DC bus of the machine. The DC/DC converter is acting as well as a battery charger when the crane is generating power during lowering or when the diesel genset is active for recharging.
The Battery Pack Hybrid contains all the necessary components. The individual battery modules (liquid-cooled), a Battery Management System (BMS) for supervision of all battery safety relevant data, an Energy Management System, all necessary cooling and heating components, and a PLC system for easy interfacing to the machine. A touch panel visualizes all relevant data to the operator. All components are installed in a robust and customized housing.
Remote supervision through cloud service is available as an option.
