At the heart of a BNA motor-driven reel are carefully manufactured MAG Couplers: their inner parts’ finely engineered quantum-level magnetic properties interact to output a nearly constant torque over a wide speed range. As the MAG couplers are part of the mechanical drive chain, they instantly and permanently react to cable pull variations. Even if the power is off, our MAG Couplers maintain the tuned output torque.

BNA motor-driven reels features our proven and super-reliable reeling slip rings, designed, tested and proven for high power even in static operation, and include the exclusive and patented TFO (Transmitter Fiber Optics) for secure and EMI resistant Fiber Optics networks supporting up to Terabit Ethernet.

We use rules-based computerized design systems to offer the configured motor-driven reel best adapted to your application within our fully industrialized BNA range, plus a customizing touch from our experts if desired.

Our BNA motor-driven reels are pre-tuned to the application in our factories and therefore require no expert commissioning.

Wouldn't electronic drive provide a more accurate cable management?

MAG Couplers are mechanically part of the torque generation and feedback loop. They do not need indirect measurements to sense the requirements. Their reaction is designed in the magnetic interactions of the materials through quantum-level properties: no need to program equations, the torque smoothly and instantaneously adjusts to the need “by itself". Furthermore, the magnetic interactions perform an efficient active damping. Electronics become necessary for the very high powers required in top-notch Container Handling applications.
